MICROTHERM microporous insulation material
Energy is a significant factor in industry, and by controlling and saving energy consumption, it is possible to reduce the environmental impact of industrial processes. Smelting is a high-energy manufacturing process, and reducing energy losses within the smelting process can have a substantial impact on profitability.
MICROTHERM® insulation, cooling, and insulation material are a type of nano-porous thermal insulating material. It is thin and lightweight with an exceptionally low thermal conductivity, offering exceptional efficiency. Despite being only a quarter as thick as conventional high-temperature insulation materials, it can still provide the same degree of thermal insulation, making it highly suitable for high-temperature applications with limited space.
MICROTHERM® is made using opacifiers and reinforced with glass fibers, which makes it clean, easy to handle, and install. It can maintain stability over a wide temperature range, with a standard temperature capability of up to 1000 degrees Celsius (1832 degrees Fahrenheit). Additionally, Microtherm Super A can be used at temperatures up to 1200 degrees Celsius (2192 degrees Fahrenheit).
